Role Summary: We are seeking a diligent and proactive Asset Monitoring Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial for safeguarding our company's assets by ensuring the efficient management, monitoring, and security of our tracking devices and the financed vehicles they protect. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of both field-based and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities: Tracking Device Management:Maintain a detailed and up-to-date spreadsheet of all tracking devices, accurately recording installations, un-installations, and remote monitoring activities.Conduct regular audits to reconcile the status of trackers, identifying and documenting devices that are lost, damaged, or faulty.Manage the inventory of new and retrieved trackers, ensuring they are ready for deployment.Tracking Device Documentation & Reporting:Provide daily updates on all tracker operations, including installations and un-installations.Provide status updates for installed tracking devices.Monitor and document tracking device alerts, such as when a vehicle leaves its geofence or a device goes offline.Compile and present weekly reports on key metrics, including tracker functionality, inventory status, and alert incidents. Tracking Device Operations (Field-Based):Execute the physical installation and un-installation of tracking devices on financed vehicles in a timely and professional manner.Conduct regular visits to auto dealers' lots to perform physical inspections of the vehicles and maintain a strong relationship with our partners. Remote Monitoring:Monitor the tracking device dashboard continuously to remotely track the real-time whereabouts and status of our financed vehicles.Use the dashboard to respond to and investigate alerts promptly, escalating issues as necessary.Assess the condition of vehicles remotely by monitoring key metrics such as fuel gauge, distance covered, current speed, and vehicle health. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in a similar field-based or monitoring role.Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.Proficiency in using spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel) for data entry and tracking.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with dealers and internal teams.Basic understanding of automotive systems is a plus.Comfortable with field work and traveling to various locations as required. Technical Skills: System and Software Proficiency: An understanding of the tracking software itself.Vehicle diagnostics and telematics: A solid understanding of the telematics data coming from the tracker. E.g. battery voltage, engine temperature, vehicle health etcAutomotive Mechanics Fundamentals: A basic knowledge of car components (e.g., ignition, battery, ECU) and how the tracker interfaces with them.Critical Thinking & Proactive Problem-Solving.Process Improvement: The mindset to recommend changes to the tracking sheet, suggest new alert parameters, or identify more efficient ways to perform field checks.
