We encourage applications from people with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.Consider a career at WMG and get the best of both worlds – an innovative global music company that retains the creative spirit of a nimble independent.Job Title: Assistant, A&RA little bit about our team:The creative department responsible for both finding and developing musical artists to sign as well as producing artists and driving creative content for all forms of media.Your role:Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) handling all administrative aspects of work for multiple A&R executives, as well as more detailed project management and independent projects on various levels. Requires a committed, flexible, proactive, organized, and independent person who is willing to engage in typical administrative/clerical duties as well as more complex project work related to all aspects of the record-making process.Here you’ll get to:Provide administrative and office support activities for A&R executivesReceive and direct visitors and make the office a welcoming environment.Coordinate calendars, scheduling, and meeting logisticsPrepare written correspondence and communicate internally and to third parties (producers, artist managers, lawyers, etc)Coordinate travel for executives and artistsProcess and supervise T&E expensesProcess packages and mailBook studio time (production, mixing, mastering)Log and respond to demo submissionsCompile, manage and keep track of all music (demos, roughs, mixes, etc.) in Box or other appropriate systemsAttend artist team meetings with managers and internal label staffAssemble all copy and credits for single and album releasesUse online tools such as Luminate and Sodatone to research and analyze data on signed and unsigned artists.Liaise with A&R administration to coordinate delivery of mixes and masters as well as handle payment of invoices and studio sessions.File audio content and artist info (lyrics, credits, tour schedules, etc)Be responsible for general office suppliesCoordinate and attend shows and showcases of both signed and unsigned artistsCoordinate recording sessions, writing sessions, writing camps, and related travelOther duties as assignedAbout you:0 - 2 years of administrative experienceStrong understanding of recording, production, and creative side of the businessGeneral knowledge of key industry players and familiarity with all musicWork independently and take initiativeExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and deadlinesHandle confidential matters appropriately and with discretionStrong attention to detailMulti-task: prioritize with the appropriate sense of urgencyAbility to pinpoint problems and determine solutionsExpertly collaborate with all levels of the organization, clients, and vendorsAccurate filing and maintenance of musicExperience or solid understanding of the music industryWe’d love it if you also had:Undergraduate degreeExperience with Google WorkspaceAbout us:As the home to 10K Projects, Asylum, Atlantic Music Group, East West, FFRR, Fueled by Ramen, Nonesuch, Parlophone, Rhino, Roadrunner, Sire, Warner Records, Warner Classics, and several other of the world’s premier recording labels, Warner Music Group champions emerging artists and global superstars alike. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs.
