We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for one position at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in TESOL at the School of Education, University of Nottingham Malaysia. Applicants should hold a recognised PhD qualification and demonstrate strong alignment between their teaching, research, and professional development agenda and the strategic priorities of the School of Education and the University.We particularly welcome candidates who are able to take ownership of their academic and administrative responsibilities, contribute effectively as a collaborative team member, and work independently with initiative and professionalism. The successful candidate will demonstrate sustained motivation to advance knowledge, scholarship, and practice in the field of TESOL.For appointment at Associate Professor level, candidates should evidence sustained leadership in knowledge exchange, innovation in teaching and learning, and contributions to raising the University’s profile.Generic Job Responsibilities:Contribute to high quality teaching, curriculum development and programme enhancement across foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate modules.Effectively supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research.Conduct rigorous and high-impact research in TESOL/cognate areas.Carry out administrative responsibilities including student recruitment, marketing, committees, and accreditation processes as assigned by the Head of School or University.Commitment to continuous professional development, including advancing subject knowledge and skills, research skills, and pedagogical expertise throughout their academic career.Maintain the highest standards of professional integrity, constructive collaboration, and respectful conduct at work.
