At Notre Dame, your work matters, and so do you!Job DescriptionAs Assistant Director for Assignments, you’ll be accountable for managing application and assignments-related processes for the approximately 7,000 undergraduate on-campus residents of thirty-three unique residential communities, as well as creating and managing application and assignments related communication. In this role, attention to detail, close collaboration with hall staff, a high level of confidentiality, and excellent communication will be critical.As a part of the Housing Operations team, we are searching for a professional who shares our values of humor, respect, grit, patience, inclusion, excellence, accountability, gratitude, and innovation in their work. We steward Notre Dame’s tradition of residential community through collaboration and services to provide a fulfilling, seamless, and transformative experience for all who call our University home.What You'll Be DoingManaging on-campus application, assignment, early arrival/late departure, and billing processes for nearly 7,000 undergraduate residents in close collaboration with Rectors and the rest of the Hall Staff teams.Supervising one full-time staff member, the Program Coordinator for Assignments, who assists in the day-to-day management of housing occupancy and assignments. Serve as a power user for the StarRez housing management system at Notre Dame, managing student data within the system and setup/maintenance of PortalX processes.Collaborating with campus stakeholders such as Sara Bea Accessibility Services, Athletics, Notre Dame Global, and Admissions to provide a welcoming and reliable service to students.Creating and managing departmental business communications, including assignment notifications, cancellation/termination communication, and the assignments content on the Residential Life website. This position will be regularly emailing some or all undergraduate students at Notre Dame.Managing and reporting on residential data in service to Residential Life and University goals and projects, which include residential master planning, facility renovation, and new construction.Participating in a housing operations on-call rotation approximately every five weeks limited to emergency housing support and student rooms searches.QualificationsEducation Qualifications: Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree (5 years) or advanced certification beyond Bachelor’sExperience: 3 to 4 yearsDegree Qualifications: Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related fieldRequired Skills:Proficiency with StarRez residential management systemExperience creating and managing websites and mass email communicationsStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work across departments and throughout the University, developing and maintaining relationshipsCompetent with technology (MS Office and Google Suite) and ability to learn new systemsCommitment to supporting the mission of a Catholic university founded by the Congregation of Holy CrossPreferred Skill:Power user for the StarRez residential management system with experience building and managing PortalX processes, bulk data updates, and overall data stewardship (preferred)Additional InformationSalary: Up to $55,000Applications will be accepted until November 30, 2025RESUME & COVER LETTER ARE REQUIRED to be considered for this position.
