Job Description

The Assistant Director of Sales will play a key leadership role in driving the commercial success of JW Marriott Jeju Resort & Spa by overseeing strategic sales initiatives, leading proactive market development, and ensuring the property’s luxury positioning and revenue performance targets are met. This role is responsible for managing key market segments, strengthening competitive positioning in domestic and international markets, and supporting the Director of Sales in achieving optimal ADR, RevPAR, and total revenue results. The Assistant Director of Sales will also provide team guidance, lead high-value business opportunities, and represent the resort across key commercial channels.Responsibilities (including but not limited to):Lead the development and execution of strategic sales plans aligned with the resort’s commercial objectives and luxury brand standardsDrive proactive market expansion by identifying, targeting, and securing high-value business opportunities across domestic and global marketsOversee key segments including MICE, corporate incentive, and group business to maximize incremental room nights and revenue contributionManage strategic accounts, build long-term partnerships, and develop account strategies that support sustainable revenue growthSupport the Director of Sales in setting sales targets, designing commercial strategies, and monitoring performance against ADR, RevPAR, and revenue goalsProvide leadership, coaching, and guidance to the sales team to elevate performance and ensure alignment with brand and operational standardsPrepare and present detailed business reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to support strategic decision-makingRepresent JW Marriott Jeju Resort & Spa at major trade shows, client events, and sales missions, strengthening brand visibility and client engagementCollaborate closely with Marketing, Revenue Management, and Operations to ensure cohesive commercial execution and exceptional guest experienceMonitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for strategic adjustmentUphold JW Marriott’s luxury service standards and ensure consistent excellence in all client interactions and commercial activitiesQualifications:Must have legal authorization to work in South Korea without requiring current or future visa sponsorshipMinimum 7 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry with strong exposure to luxury hotels, including leadership or managerial responsibilitiesProven track record in proactive sales, strategic account management, and delivering strong ADR, RevPAR, and revenue growth resultsDemonstrated ability to lead teams, manage high-value accounts, and execute complex commercial strategiesExceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skillsFluency in Korean and proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages preferredSeoul-based with full flexibility for frequent travel to Jeju and international marketsHigh level of professionalism, strategic thinking, and self-motivation with the ability to work both independently and collaborativelyBachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferredCommitment to completing a mandatory minimum two-month on-property immersion and training at JW Marriott Jeju Resort & Spa
