Job Description

CORE WORK ACTIVITIESAssist the Director of Finance in checking and investigating whether purchase requisitions fall within capital expenditure and expenses budgets.Assist the Director of Finance in preparing the fiscal years budget. Prepare the initial drafts for A&G payroll, familiar with general ledger and overhead expense budgets.Supervise yearly and periodic physical inspections of fixed assets for each department.Agree the credit card totals for each type of credit card and the credit card sales voucher totals with the Accounts Receivable Schedule circulated by the Income Auditor.Maintain a working knowledge of the accounting regulations of the region the hotel is located.Verify the daily bank balances through review of the bank statements for all bank transactions. Prepare a bank balance sheet and submit it to the Director of Finance.Verify credit card numbers on sales slips are legibly printed and that credit limits and card expiration dates agree with those so authorized.To be fully aware of the potential and buying decisions of all key accounts, competitive information on rates and volume to allow for specific strategic planning related to such accounts.Education And ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 5 years working experience in international class hotel’s Accounting Department, and 4 years’ working experience in a similar capacity or related professional area, preferably with a 5 star international propertyCandidates with experience in Le Meridien or Marriott International properties are preferred
