As we continue to scale, we seek an Assistant Finance Manager (AFM) to join our office in South Korea. This role will play a pivotal part in establishing a robust finance function to drive breakthrough operational efficiencies.The AFM will play a critical role in the establishment of a strong finance function in our South Korean business. This role supports the Finance Controller in relation to management of the finance daily operations, internal controls and other ad-hoc assignments as required. The role is also instrumental in defining leading practice and driving out key improvements through automation, standardization and process optimisation. As a growth position within a dynamic and entrepreneurial business, the general nature and level of work within this role is designed to progress as opportunities arise.Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:Financial operations: Responsible for daily financial operations (AR, GL & tax), and ensure timely and accurate month-end closingReporting: Prepare and present monthly, annual and other periodic financial reportsCash flow management: Monitor and manage the company’s cashflows to ensure financial stability and satisfaction of cashflow-related KPIsCompliance: Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards. Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodiesInternal control: Develop, implement and enforce internal control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulationsERP enhancements: Support ERP enhancement of Oracle Fusion for the South Korean entityRisk management: Support the business in identifying and mitigating risks as it enters new territories and markets by conducting research on the financial and regulatory landscape, assist in formulating and executing entry strategy for operational setupTax compliance: Manage tax reporting and compliance in corporate income tax and GST across multiple regionsResolve complex issues: Act as the main point of contact to identify and resolve issues and queries from internal and external stakeholders, including researching problems, evaluating and making recommendations to improve process efficiency and / or achieve compliance outcomesImplement best practices: Maintain documented best practices, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvementsProjects: Participate in continuous business maturity projects alongside other members in the finance team and wider organisation through business operational improvements and/or technological solutions to increase efficiencyRequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, with professional certification preferred (Eg.
