Together with our clients, we’re helping to deliver the energy transition globally.Overview Of The RoleDue to new project wins and continued growth, we’re looking for Assistant HVAC Engineer to join our Nuclear: Defence and Civil division. This role offers exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects across the defence and nuclear new-build industries worldwide. As part of our growing team, you will contribute to high-profile engineering challenges while developing your career within an international organisation committed to supporting your professional growth. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of the Nuclear HVAC field, delivering impactful projects for some of the industry’s most prominent clients.Key Responsibilities And Duties IncludeProduce detailed design calculations to support design requirementsProducing documentation, assessment/condition reports, survey reports, basis of designs, procurement specifications, etcProduction and review of detailed design calculations to support design proposalsProduction and review of detailed design drawings, layouts and schematics including heating, ventilation, LTHW, Chilled Water, specialist LEV and BMS installations using Revit (BIM) and CAD softwareExperience in the delivery of written work, e.g. functional Specifications, Basis of Design,Equipment Specifications and Validation and Verification plansProducing estimates of work elements including equipment and man hour costsSupporting the preparation of bids and estimatesEnsure compliance with construction (design and management) regulationsConduct thorough research to ensure compliance with industry standardsCoordinate seamlessly with other disciplines, fostering a holistic approach to project deliveryCandidate specificationEssentialExperience in HVAC DesignSkilled in Revit (BIM modelling), AutoCAD and MS Office suites+Experience in using design software like Carrier HAP (Hourly Analyses Program), IES VE simulation software and similar is highly valued. Also, manufacturers selection softwareStrong work ethic and positive attitudeEffective interpersonal and organizational skillsInitiative and self-motivation to learn and develop in the fieldAbility to collaborate across borders. Good verbal and written communication skillsWorking proficiency in English is requiredNice To HaveExperience within a highly regulated environment is advantageous (Nuclear preferable, but will consider other relevant experience).
