Job Description

Title: Assistant Manager - Design CoordinatorLocation: Delhi & HyderabadRole & Responsibilities:Consultant contract administrationCertify consultant bills for payment during construction phaseDesign Coordination:Take handover from the HO based Design manager post DD/ tender stageCoordinate with all vendors for issuance of a shop drawing listManage timely receipt of all design documentation, including shop drawings, samples, etc. from vendors/ contractorsLead shop drawing and Issued for Construction documents reviews and approval process by all stakeholders and drive inter-discipline coordinationLead all design coordination meetings/calls, prepare agenda & minutes, and follow-up on assigned tasksLead approval of all prototypes/ samples produced by the vendors by the relevant stakeholdersManage all design documentation with document controllerAssist the planner in tracking the master schedulePrepare design schedules with weekly/fortnightly deliverables and inter-discipline dependenciesTrack design deliverables against schedule, flag delays, and implement recovery plansDe-bottleneck design hold-ups and help stakeholders to reach consensusChange Management:Flag changes to design/ previously received approvals during the shop drawing approval processFlag changes to design/ previously received approvals requested by any stakeholderQuality Management:Support the PM/ Construction managers in explaining the design intent to the vendors/ contractorsSupport the PM/ Construction manager in doing a formal Quality check at every milestone to ensure it follows the approved design intentRequired Education & Experience:Diploma / B. Arch with experience at site coordinating construction tradesMinimum 4 years’ experience in design or project management with at least one end-to-end hotel or high end fit out project completion experienceAbility to monitor and review the as-built drawing processWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and MS OfficeGood written and verbal communication skillsRequired Skills & Knowledge:Good interpersonal and presentation skillsGood written and spoken English, able to convey complex feedback and briefs in a concise and clear mannerGood planning and organizational skills, able to seamlessly schedule and coordinate various design activitiesGood understanding of all hotel / high end fit out projects and design disciplines, construction sequencing and coordination process
