Position SummaryThe Assistant Manager – NPD will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring new product development activities for pharmaceutical dosage forms. The role involves supporting formulation development, documentation, process optimization, and technology transfer activities while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and monitor New Product Development (NPD) activities.Prepare and maintain all product development documentation.Assist in the development of OSD, Oral Liquid, and Parenteral products.Prepare Development BMRs, Pharmaceutical Development Protocols and Reports, SOPs, and other relevant development documents.Monitor Critical Process Parameters (CPPs) and Critical Quality Attributes (CQAs) during product development using development equipment.Assist in technology transfer activities for newly developed products.Coordinate and prioritize product development projects in alignment with organizational needs and strategic objectives.Required Qualification, Knowledge and SkillsPharm-D from an institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan.3–5 years of relevant experience in Research & Development – Formulation and Process within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.Strong theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and equipment.Practical understanding of Critical Process Parameters (CPPs) in pharmaceutical manufacturing.Good knowledge of API/raw material characteristics, including solubility, polymorphic forms, incompatibilities, and storage conditions.Hands-on experience in troubleshooting formulation and manufacturing defects in tablets, capsules, and other dosage forms (e.g., sticking, capping, lamination, weight variation, etc.).Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to formulation and manufacturing processes.Familiarity with technology transfer processes from development to production scale.Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including QA, QC, Production, and Regulatory Management.Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation.Good communication and reporting skills.
