Job descriptionAssistant Hotel Manager | 5-Star Luxury Operations Grecian Bay Hotel | Ayia Napa, CyprusEmployment Type: Full-time, Permanent Industry: Luxury Hospitality, 5-Star Resort The Mandate: Operational LeadershipWe are seeking a passionate and results-driven Assistant Hotel Manager to join our leadership team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth, standard-compliant, and coordinated daily operation of our 5-star resort, reporting directly to the Hotel Manager. The focus is maximizing guest satisfaction, controlling costs, and maintaining service excellence across all departments.Core ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Manager will provide operational oversight and support across the entire property.1. Operations & Inter-Departmental ControlOperational Oversight: Support the Hotel Manager in day-to-day operations and ensure seamless coordination between all departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, etc.).Duty Management: Carry out scheduled Duty Management shifts, proactively addressing any operational challenges and ensuring smooth resort function. Logistics & Quality: Oversee scheduling, inventory management, and implement quality control checks for guest rooms and public areas. 2. Leadership & Guest ExcellenceTeam Supervision: Supervise, train, and motivate staff to deliver consistently high service standards and maintain professional presentation.Service Recovery: Monitor guest satisfaction (feedback and concerns) and employ strong problem-solving skills to promptly and effectively address complex issues. Financial & Compliance: Assist with budgeting, reporting, financial performance tracking, and ensure strict compliance with all hotel policies, health, and safety regulations.Candidate Profile: Essential RequirementsWe require an experienced leader who is highly organized and comfortable working in a luxury, fast-paced environment.Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a 4- or 5-star property. Linguistic Mastery: Excellent command and fluency in both the Greek and English languages (verbal and written) is mandatory for coordinating with staff and management. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and critical problem-solving abilities. Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required by operational demand.Education: A Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
