WE ARE HIRING!Job Title: Assistant Manager – Human ResourcesIndustry: Apparel – ManufacturingNo. of Openings: 02Location: Vavuniya & Mullaitivu, Sri Lanka (Factory-based)Remuneration: LKR 350,000 (Negotiable based on experience)About the RoleWe are seeking dynamic and experienced Assistant Managers – HR to lead and manage HR operations at our apparel manufacturing facilities in Vavuniya and Mullaitivu.The role requires a proactive professional who can handle end-to-end HR functions, foster strong employee relations, and ensure compliance with labor laws while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesHR Operations & Employee ManagementOversee daily HR operations including attendance, leave management, payroll coordination, and HR documentation.Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee induction processes.Maintain accurate employee records and statutory documents.Monitor attendance, absenteeism, and workforce scheduling.Employee Relations & EngagementBuild and maintain positive employee relations through effective communication and counseling.Handle disciplinary procedures in line with company policies.Implement employee welfare and engagement initiatives to improve morale and retention.Coordinate closely with production teams to ensure smooth workforce management.Compliance & ReportingEnsure adherence to labor laws, factory regulations, and HR policies.Prepare HR reports including manpower, absenteeism, overtime, and disciplinary data.Support internal and external audits including compliance and statutory reviews.Training & DevelopmentCoordinate staff training programs and skill enhancement initiatives.Contribute to continuous improvement in HR systems and processes.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field (CIPM/NIBM qualifications preferred).Minimum 5+ years of total HR experience, including at least 2 years at Assistant Manager level within a manufacturing or apparel setup.Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance, and factory HR operations.Proven experience managing large workforces.Key Skills & AttributesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Proficient in MS Office and exposure to HRIS systems.Fluency in Tamil is mandatory; Sinhala and English proficiency will be an advantage.Ethical, reliable, and people-oriented with a hands-on approach.
