For more information, please visit www.sunrisemfg.com.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are seeking an Assistant Production Manager for our manufacturing plant in Rome, GA. The Assistant Production Manager will manufacture products by managing staff, organizing and monitoring work flow in a safe efficient manner consistent with company policies and procedures. Sunrise Manufacturing offers competitive compensation & benefits package including: paid time off, paid holidays, medical, dental and vision plans, 401K, flexible spending account and life and disability insurance.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:·      Lead by example regarding the following of safety policies; holds employees accountable for following all OSHA and company safety rules and policies; assists Plant Manager in establishing company safety standards.·      Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, training employees and developing personal growth opportunities.·      Maintain a safe and clean work environment by training and directing personnel on the usage of equipment and resources; maintain compliance with established policies and procedures. ·      Completes production plan by notifying buyers if there are material shortages; scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems.·      Maintain inventory accuracy and reduce waste; verify orders are written using correct material; confirm that correct material is used on the shop floor when producing orders; make changes to written orders if material changes are made on the shop floor; assist in monthly inventory counts; conduct cycle counts as scheduled.·      Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing company standards. ·      Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change as needed. ·      Ensure operation of machinery at optimal efficiency by calling for repairs, confirming proper equipment maintenance (TPM) from operations and allowing proper PM time when needed.  ·      Understanding and ability to execute Lean Manufacturing Tools (Standardized Work, 5S, TPM, OEE, VSM, Gemba, Kaizen, JIT, Kanban, SMED and many others)REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:·      Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing leadership; distribution leadership add on a plus·      Exceptional verbal and written communication ability in small and large group settings·      Proficient in Microsoft Office with experience in any ERP system·      Statistical and analytical problem-solving skills·      Willingness and ability to grow into Production Manager and Plant Manager roles·      Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish a plusFor immediate consideration, apply today at hr@sunrisemfg.com
