IDA Ireland’s strategy “Adapt Intelligently: A Strategy for Sustainable Growth and Innovation 2025-29” identified clear opportunities for Ireland to win investment in key growth areas such as digitalisation and artificial intelligence, semiconductors, health and sustainability.The Sustainability Department works collaboratively across IDA teams to deliver on this strategic ambition, connecting sustainability value propositions with emerging opportunities and client engagement models.By partnering with IDA Operations teams, policymakers, industry groups, and the world’s leading companies, the Department drives investment in sustainability, renewable energy, and innovative technologies — supporting both IDA’s sustainability goals and the ambitions of our clients.The Sustainability Department has three important goals.Work with colleagues and clients to deliver on industry decarbonation, circular economy, waste, water, biodiversity and climate adaption goals. Work closely with policy and regulatory teams in DETE and DCEE, and with Industry groups to address industry Sustainability challenges. Work with all departments in Ireland and overseas to design, develop, implement, and project manage IDA’s “Whole of Business Climate Action Plan.Since January 2025, IDA clients across all teams have committed to spend €745 million on sustainability initiatives. These investments will deliver productivity and efficiency improvements, reduce waste and increase the life span of equipment, improve water management systems and notably support the abatement and abatement of nearly 60,000tn of Scope 1 carbon in industry.Key Activities And ResponsibilitiesSales & MarketingProactively support teams to influence the delivery of client sustainability investments.Support the development and sharing of knowledge across IDA’s global team.Work with colleagues to identify new industry trends and marketing opportunities. Communications & Personal EffectivenessStrong oral and written communication working with colleagues and clients. Support development of content for C-suite client executives, IDA Committees and Board.Knowledge of the BusinessA developing knowledge of IDA’s Sustainability value propositions.Insight and understanding of IDA’s Transformation Division and strategy. Experience and exposure to analysing client business plans or similar.Client Focused Relationship BuildingExperience supporting and building relationships and delivering excellent client service.NetworkingTrack record working with other teams in and outside IDA in creative and impactful ways. Negotiating & InfluencingDeveloping experience working with decision makers and stakeholder groups.Project ManagementTrack record managing competing priorities and work responsibilities. Adherence to Health & Safety legislation to protect and ensure employee safety at all times.
