Assistant Project Manager for Large Commercial ProjectsScott Humphrey has partnered with a large and reputable general contractor to assist in finding a Project Engineer and Senior Project Engineer for their headquarters in the DFW area . As a Assistant Project Manager, you will be an integral part of a team that oversees the construction of 50M+ Commercial new construction; project quality control, subcontractor coordination, daily logs/project documentation, safety, and inspections.About the Company:One of the most well-known Commercial General Contractors not only in Dallas, in the entire state of Texasstrong project pipeline - upcoming project are 50M+ Commercial project for K-12, Aviation, and Performing Center.They believe in their ability train, coach, and develop from the bottom to the topAverage tenure at the company is 14 years. People stick around!Projects are assigned based on where each PM, Superintendent, PE, and Asst Super live so that the commute is as short as possibleProvide amazing relocation assistanceWhat's on Offer: Base salary 80-110K, opportunity for yearly bonus, and career progression.The Assistant Project Manager will provide support to the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in providing the overall administrative, financial, and technical direction of a project.This position will work directly with the Project Manager to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with contract, design, budget, and schedule requirements.Select Responsibilities:Develop and maintain material tracking logsResearch, develop and write detailed RFI’sCoordinate with Design team for efficient responses to submittals and RFI’sPresent in weekly project status meetingsAssist with project forecasting and month end financial reportingManage changes and ensure proper distribution of construction documents and/or project scope to ensure that the most current documents are being usedCoordinate with project team to ensure materials are available when needed on siteReview and verify constructability of plans and specificationsContribute to the buy-out process by requesting and reviewing bids and aligning budgets as necessary to create subcontractsPerform detailed review and processing of project submittalsQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related disciplineMinimum 3 years' experience in construction industry, preferably on ground up, new commercial construction projects (K-12, Aviation, or any large commercial projects)Efficient knowledge in construction computer software and Microsoft SuiteAbout Scott-HumphreyWe are a national recruitment practice specializing in Construction, Real Estate, Legal, Pharma/Med Device, Digital Marketing, Creative, & Shared Services recruitment.
