The Assistant Relationship Manager is responsible for supporting Institutional Banking leadership and relationship managers in managing and strengthening client relationships for the Singapore Branch. This role focuses on facilitating loan business from existing and prospective clients, ensuring portfolio credit quality, achieving revenue targets, and cross-selling the Bank’s products and services.Key Responsibilities:Business Development:Support RMs to pursue new business opportunities, including participation in syndications, club loans, secondary loan purchases, bilateral credit facilities, sponsors (banks or private equity), other counterparties and structured transactions.Client Relationship Management:Serve as additional point of contact for assigned clients, managing their banking requirements across loans, trade finance, and foreign exchange. Likewise responsible for overall maintenance of the relationship including Credit Annual renewals, KYC updating, periodic documentation requirements and the like.Credit and Documentation:Responsible for writing up pre-approval and pre-clearance credit work, prepare credit proposals, and oversee post-approval documentation and execution documentation.Transaction Coordination:Coordinate loan availment, repricing, payments, and other transactions with counterparties, clients and Head Office Account Officers.Compliance and Administration:Monitor client compliance with documentary requirements, maintain proper safekeeping of documents, prepare management reports, and ensure branch operational upkeep.Loan Management:Liaise with Head Office Account Officer, Legal teams to ensure enforceability of credit facility documentation.Other Duties:Perform additional tasks as assigned to support business objectives and branch operations.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in corporate banking - loans, including credit evaluation and recommendation in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.Strong communication and relationship-building skills both internal and external counterparties.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong organizational skills.Proficiency in business software applications and ability to work independently.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Eligibility: Candidate must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Singapore.
