Job Description

Job PurposeResponsible for preparing and assessing credit proposals to achieve a high quality of WB credit portfolio.Responsible for maintaining quality of assigned credit proposals that reflect the best practice to regulate the risk assets of the WBG.Raising technical authorization requests for temporary excess limits and extension of facilities validity dates etc so as to obtain timely authorization for credit facilities from appropriate authorities. Closely monitor the assigned credit portfolio to avoid any irregularity and to maintain good health of credit risk assets and keep the seniors informed about developments.Coordinate with other departments to render effective services to corporate customers. Timely reporting to concerned parties on all Operational Risk, Fraud and AML issues related to credit portfolio.Display UAB Values of Integrity, Customer Focus, Competence, Consistency and CourteousnessPrincipal AccountabilitiesActively contribute for development of business through the Relationship Manager by marketing new customers and also through the existing customers.Underwrite credit appraisal including financial, business and risk analysis and ensuring that Credit Approval Package is submitted as per credit policies, TMRAC and CBUAE guidelinesAssess and structure credit lines in consultation with RMs that meet credit criteria and client business needs. Ensure timely submission of credit proposals as per agreed SLA/ TATTechnical authorizations for any excess over limit, extension of expiring lines etc for the assigned portfolio, so as to obtain timely authorization from the concerned departments.Maintain good quality portfolio by effective monitoring of past dues and credit quality.Ensure asset classification is in line with regulatory and policy guidelines Monitoring of covenants & Early warning signals and highlighting such obligor movement to Early Alerts.Manage problem loans closely and recommending appropriate strategy and remedial action plan in consultation with RMsCoordinate with corporate support team in operational & back-office work for timely preparation of securities documentation and periodic reports for submission to H.O. and management of credit files. Coordinate with other departments to render efficient services to corporate customers.Participate and assist in all credit-related aspects of internal/external audits including Central Bank inspection. MIS & risk reporting on Early alert accounts/problem loan to credit department.Experience & QualificationsMinimum bachelor's degree Preferably in Commerce & Finance Minimum 3 years of Credit Risk management and corporate lending Good credit assessment, structuring and documentation skillsAbility to develop and update credit risk management policy, procedures, documentation
