Because honestly, why should retail be boring?Job SummaryAs the Assistant Store Manager at tm:rw, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Director and Store Manager in driving the success of our flagship New York City location. You’ll help lead daily operations, elevate the customer experience, and empower your team to deliver excellence in service and performance.You will assist in managing the team, optimizing sales and commercial performance, and ensuring the store runs smoothly day-to-day. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-moving retail environment where innovation and customer engagement take centre stage.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentSupport the Store Manager in leading, motivating, and developing the team to achieve daily and monthly goals.Deliver ongoing training and coaching to enhance performance and ensure a knowledgeable, customer-focused team.Promote a positive and collaborative work culture that drives engagement and results.Sales & Commercial PerformanceExecute sales strategies that support revenue growth and exceed store targets.Monitor sales KPIs and contribute to action plans that drive performance improvement.Identify opportunities to enhance commercial results through effective floor management and customer engagement.Customer Experience & EngagementEnsure every customer receives an interactive and immersive experience aligned with the Smartech brand.Lead by example on the shop floor, demonstrating exceptional service and product knowledge.Help resolve escalated customer issues with professionalism and care.Operational ExcellenceOversee key aspects of daily store operations including inventory management, visual standards, and compliance.Support scheduling, floor coverage, and team coordination to ensure smooth operations during all trading hours.Maintain a high standard of store presentation and operational discipline.Performance & Business SupportTrack performance metrics and communicate results to the Store Manager and Director.Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve processes, efficiency, and profitability.Support the execution of local events, product launches, and experiential activations.Requirements & Preferences3–5 years of experience in retail leadership, ideally in premium, luxury, or tech-driven environments.Proven success supporting teams to achieve and exceed sales targets.Passion for innovation, technology, and delivering memorable customer experiences.Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.A proactive, hands-on leader who thrives on motivating others.Other DetailsStart Date: ASAPSalary: $65K–$67K + CommissionsLocation: New York City (Flagship Store)Job Type: Full-Time
