Here, you’ll be supported to explore your potential, grow your expertise, and make a meaningful impact on a global scale.OverviewReporting directly to the SVP, Head of Private Equity within Artex Capital Solutions (“ACS”), the AVP, Fund Accounting, will have responsibility for the day-to-day administration of investment funds, delivery to clients, and managing and assisting members of the team.How You'll Make An ImpactPrimary responsibility and main point of contact for a portfolio of clientsManagement of senior fund accountants’ workload and training new and current staff on processes and proceduresVetting of offering documents and service agreements for fundsOverseeing fund launches and implementation of new clients including set up of all fund accounting records as necessaryCalculation and review of fund’s net asset values including complex performance fee calculations, portfolio processing and preparation and review of the payment of fund expensesPreparing and reviewing the accounting for private equity fundsReviewing and preparing financial statements with footnotes as well as supporting schedules and analysisCoordination and management of audit processResolution of investor or client queriesOther responsibilities as needed to ensure quality client serviceAbout YouA University degree preferably majoring in accounting or another financials related discipline. Internationally recognized accounting designation (CPA, ACA, etc.) with at least 8 years post qualification experience working either in the hedge fund administration industry or as an audit senior or higher in audit practice. A focus on investment funds that include private equity strategies is preferred. Strong understanding of investment accounting, hedge funds and private equity funds. In-depth knowledge of carried interest calculations. Strong understanding of relevant US GAAP accounting standards. Experience in a client facing role and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to train and develop junior staff. Strong organization skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Willingness to work extended hours and public holidays, as required.
