Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: Associate (4-6PQE)GROUP: Film and TVLOCATION: Soho, LondonTERM: PermanentHOURS: Full-time, 9:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch. A flexible approach to working hours is a must, overtime may be required at busy times.We currently operate a hybrid working policy with at least 3 days office working per week. Our hybrid working policy is discretionary and may be subject to change.OverviewSheridans’ top-ranked Film & TV team is seeking a talented and driven solicitor to join our market-leading practice. Based in our Soho office, you’ll be part of one of the UK’s most respected legal teams in the entertainment sector, working alongside acclaimed specialists who advise Oscar-winning producers, major studios, international streamers, and leading broadcasters.This is a rare opportunity to operate at the heart of the industry, guiding clients through sophisticated financing transactions and supporting them across every stage of production, from development and investment through to distribution and beyond.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with partners on a wide range of film and television production and financing mattersAdvise producers and financiers on structuring multi-party deals, co-productions, and layered financing arrangementsProvide clear, strategic legal guidance tailored to each transactionDraft and negotiate bespoke contracts, letters, and legal documentationLiaise with counterpart solicitors to secure favourable outcomes for clientsManage transactions end-to-end, including checklists, timelines, and stakeholder communicationsAttend and lead client meetings to progress deals and finalise documentationReview and approve documentation prior to executionSupport the team with any other duties relevant to the roleSkills & ExperienceQualified Solicitor in England and WalesExperience in a leading film, television, or media finance legal practice (London-based preferred)Strong academic credentialsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCommercially astute with strong negotiation abilitiesHighly organised with meticulous attention to detailConfident managing multiple matters and prioritising effectivelyCollaborative team player with strong interpersonal skillsProfessional, discreet, and committed to client serviceComfortable taking initiative and, where appropriate, leading elements of a transactionOpen to using AI in a responsible way to create efficiencies in workflowPlease note that we will not accept agency CV's or applications.Application process: For further information and to apply, please submit your CV on LinkedIn.
