ReNew stands committed to providing clean, safe, affordable, and sustainable energy for all and has been at the forefront of leading climate action in India.Job DescriptionLocation: Dholera, GujaratDepartment: Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)Reports To: HSE HeadPosition Overview: The Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment across solar cell and module manufacturing operations. This role involves implementing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and driving a proactive safety culture in alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and enforce safety compliance across solar cell and module production areas.Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and hazard identification exercises.Lead incident investigations and support root cause analysis with corrective and preventive actions.Develop and deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.Ensure adherence to statutory regulations including Factories Act, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards.Review and approve work permit (Hot Work, Confined Space, Electrical Isolation, etc.).Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to integrate safety into daily processes.Maintain safety documentation including risk assessments, SOPs, inspection records, and training logs.Support implementation of Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) and Safety Observation programs.Participate in emergency preparedness drills and update response plans as needed.Skill & Competency:Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, NFPA, etc.).Experience with solar manufacturing processes and cleanroom safety protocols.Proficient in risk assessment tools (HIRA, JSA, FMEA).Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with safety management systems and reporting tools.Qualification:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline).Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent certification.2–5 years of experience in EHS roles within Project & Manufacturing industries.Qualification:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline).Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent certification.2–5 years of experience in EHS roles within Project & Manufacturing industries.
