Associate - Investing/Corporate Development (hybrid role) - Alternative Investment Fund

Our elite global Alternative Investment Fund client is seeking to recruit a lateral Associate to serve in a unique hybrid capacity, identifying and analyzing generalist and industry agnostic investment opportunities across the capital structure while executing cross-platform corporate development, business operational and long-term strategic growth initiatives.Responsibilities:Serve as an investment generalist working across multiple investment strategies, identifying and analyzing generalist investment opportunities across the capital structure, alternative asset classes and industry sectorsExecute cross-platform corporate development, business operational and long-term strategic growth initiativesAnalyze incoming deal flow and create presentation materials highlighting investment research and making actionable investment recommendationsPerform deal sourcing, valuation analysis, modeling, structuring and due diligenceBuild complex financial models and perform capital structure analysis and incorporate analysis into business projectionsProvide marketing and business development support including developing relevant materials and presentations for current and prospective investors and internal stakeholdersProvide support to the corporate strategy team and various investment teamsPerform ad hoc duties and special projects as requiredRequirements:Bachelor's Degree with strong academic achievement2-3 years of lateral Private Equity or Hybrid Capital investing experience or a mix of investment banking and alternative investing experienceKeen interest in working in a hybrid investing and corporate strategy roleAdvanced technical financial skills are a critical requirement: financial modeling, capital structure analysis, valuations, due diligence, etc.Ability and willingness to serve in a hybrid investment generalist and corporate development execution role, working across investment strategies and the entire capital structureAdvanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skillsHighly motivated, driven and intellectually curious with exceptional work ethicTeam player with the ability to work well independently
