Associate/Assistant Manager, Strategic Product DevelopmentThe Product Development professional will play a key role in shaping and executing LGI’s ETF strategy. This individual will contribute to the advancement of strategic product development initiatives that support LGI’s growth across the region. Responsibilities include evaluating new product ideas and enhancements with objectivity, ensuring alignment with business priorities and market opportunities.Job ResponsibilitiesManage key product development initiatives by liaising with various internal stakeholders and ensuring product development is conducted with due consideration given to multiple perspectives ranging across investment, client, legal, compliance and operational considerations.Assist in market research, analysis and discussions on the feasibility of new products/strategies or modifications of existing strategies to ensure our products have the right attributes (including guidelines and positioning, vehicle, naming, fees, payout, appropriate share class, etc. for target client segments) to win in the market and are aligned with the firm’s strategic priorities. Work on proposals for review and approval by the firm’s Product Development Committee.Support the planning and delivery process of new product launches for identified markets and clientsPrepare and develop relevant collaterals for external propositions and working with internal stakeholders to obtain relevant approvalsSupport the collection of market intelligence on industry activities and provide insights and analysis of the firm’s product positioning relative to peersPerform regular and ad-hoc research and analysis on the market (key trends, flows, top players and competitors’ moves, regulatory changes, fund vehicle structures, fees etc.) and specific competitor funds (identify reasons behind success / failures of market winners and losers), to help shape discussions and recommendations on product strategy, registrations, and new market or client segment entry.Support the team on engagement activities with LGI’s ETF partners which include participating dealers, distributors and the exchanges.Support the team in the planning, coordination, execution and presentation of ETF educational/promotional activities such as seminars, client events, etc.Provide ad hoc support to the ETFs and Strategic Product Development team as and when assigned.Job RequirementsA degree holder with at least 3-5 years of experience preferably in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Statistics/ComputingAsset Management Sales/Product background (ETF will be a plus)Outstanding analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitativeHighly driven individual, resourceful, adaptable to changes and able to work well in a team environmentAbility to think strategically and creativelyProactive, curious, independent, self-motivated, creative, responsible, with careful attention to detailStrong ability to work collaboratively across functionsSuperior PowerPoint and Excel skillsExperience communicating financial matters and writing business proposalsDiscipline to manage large volumes of projects with tight deadlinesSoftware and Database skills preferredFluent in English and Mandarin Chinese preferred (spoken and written)Broad understanding of the different functions which supports an asset management businessUnderstanding of the investment / regulatory environment in Asia with a focus on Singapore, Europe, and other Southeast Asian countriesPossess a positive attitude to learn and contribute to the teamPlease be informed that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Other Information:Lion Global Investors Limited is committed to equal employment opportunity.
