About Sales And Business Development:Sales and Business Development are a group of explorers, always looking for your next favorite adventure. We work with businesses on the ground to find new experiences for our users, negotiate exclusive deals and unleash our merchant partner’s full potential through account management.What You’ll Do (Main Accountabilities)Sales Planning and Execution: Create and deliver compelling sales pitches to existing merchants, driving engagement and retention. Leverage Klook's advantages to build out competitive supply products. Negotiate with merchants to drive growth (promotions, marketing exposure, supply strength, partner programs, etc) and achieve business objectives.Partner Engagement and Relationship Management: Build trust and relationships with partners to enhance their sales potential across Klook's platforms, effectively conveying Klook's strengths and brand value while proactively understanding merchants' business situations and requirements.Service Level Improvement: Cooperate with merchants to enhance service levels and meet the needs of both Klook and customers. Particularly with optimizing key supply strength metrics.Operational Support: Perform operational tasks to assist the Business Development (BD) team, including activities such as onboarding, content editing, and handling merchant inquiries, following established procedures. Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with various internal teams to ensure smooth execution and drive business impact. This includes working with Marketing to align campaigns and boost sales, Customer Service to resolve merchant issues and improve customer satisfaction, Finance to ensure accurate payments and minimize risk, Product/Tech to support feature rollouts and troubleshoot technical issues, and Legal to review agreements. Strong cross-functional coordination is essential to support merchant success and overall business growthOnboarding: Actively participate in partner and product onboarding processes and coordinate with BD managers, operations, content, editorial, and quality control teams. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and optimize fundamental BD processes.What You’ll Need (Capabilities)Years of Experience: Minimum of 2-year’s work experience in Business Development, Sales or Trade, or in a Revenue or Account management capacityIndustry Experience: Experiencing in Online Travel Agency (OTA), Merchant-Facing Technology, E-Commerce or FMCG with a background in business development & partner management would be an advantageLanguage Proficiency: English Proficiency is a must for global cross functional collaborationSales Techniques: Proficiency in various sales and deal-making techniques such as pitching, negotiation, consultative selling, and closing deals is essential for effectively engaging with merchants and driving growth. Communication: Effective communication skills to understand merchant requirements, gather product information, and manage client expectations. It involves being curious and using active listening to understand merchants. Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage merchant portfolios, track sales activities, and ensure timely follow-ups. Data skills: Comfortable working with spreadsheets and internal management systems.
