Job Description

Role PurposeThe Associate Consultant supports the delivery of high-quality advisory services by contributing research, analysis, and technical input to client projects. Working closely with consultants and project teams, the role helps develop solutions, prepare reports, and engage with clients professionally. Associate Consultants are expected to build expertise in at least one of LRQA’s advisory specialisms and demonstrate a commitment to learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Accountabilities Client Focus: Supporting engagement across the project lifecycle and ensuring needs are understood and met. Project Support: Contributes to the execution of consulting projects through research, analysis, and administrative coordination. Reporting & Communication: Prepares clear, accurate reports and presentations, translating findings into actionable insights and updates for clients. Process & Systems: Maintains strong knowledge of internal processes, systems, and market dynamics to support effective service delivery. Quality & Compliance: Ensures work aligns with internal standards, ethical guidelines, and data protection requirements. Collaboration: Works effectively with colleagues across teams, contributing to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment. Knowledge Development: Builds expertise across LRQA advisory specialisms through active learning and participation in internal initiatives. Skills Client focus: Demonstrates commitment to high standards of customer service in a client-facing consultancy, particularly within a commercial environment. Commercial awareness: Develops an understanding of client needs and LRQA’s value proposition within target markets, while supporting business development activities. Analytical Thinking: Applies research and analytical skills to identify and interpret complex information quickly and accurately (both qualitative and quantitative data), deliver actionable insights in a technical specialism, and support resolution using relevant tools and methodologies. Continuous learning: Shows adaptability and a commitment to ongoing learning, staying current with trends and innovations in advisory specialism areas. Project Management: Demonstrates strong organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to self-organise, prioritise, multi-task, and work both independently and collaboratively to meet competing deadlines. Experience and qualification Educational Background: Degree or equivalent qualification in discipline relevant to consulting topic Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience relevant to the essential skills, or a strong academic record in a relevant discipline. This could include business and human rights, international development, or industrial relations. Language Skills: Fluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to document outputs clearly and communicate complex information to diverse audiences. “The anticipated salary range for individuals in this position is “80,000” – “90,000” dependent upon, qualifications, experience, geography, and industry knowledge” “This position is eligible to participate in an annual performance bonus plan, based on the achievement of defined company and individual performance goals”
