Associate Content Strategist (Contract)

EOK Consults is hiring an Associate Content Strategist to create high-impact, social-first content for both EOK and our clients. You’ll help build and grow new social handles, produce short-form videos, and support content for political, nonprofit, cause-based, and small-business clients.This role is hands-on — you’ll write, edit, design, post, and iterate — with a strong focus on Instagram and TikTok.What You’ll DoCreate and grow social media handles (especially IG & TikTok) from scratch — build audiences, refine voice, and drive organic engagement.Produce short-form video end-to-end: planning, filming (when needed), editing (cut scenes, add subtitles, music, transitions), and optimizing for platform trends.Write and edit copy for posts, captions, short scripts, and micro-content that align with client and EOK voices.Design social assets and thumbnails using Adobe, Canva, or similar tools.Manage content calendars across EOK and client accounts; ensure consistent, timely publishing.Support client content for political, nonprofit, cause-based, and small-business projects — from concept to execution.Track and summarize performance metrics; suggest creative improvements to boost engagement.What You Bring2–3 years of experience in content creation, social media, or digital marketing.Strong video editing skills (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Kapwing, or similar) — comfortable editing audio, subtitles, transitions, and platform-ready cuts.Excellent writing and storytelling skills for social media.Basic graphic design abilities and an eye for visual consistency.Self-starter who can work independently and deliver on deadlines.Comfortable balancing EOK’s owned channels and multiple client accounts.Nice to have: interest or background in Canadian politics or public affairs.Role DetailsType: Contract — 3 months (may extend or convert to full time)Location: Remote / Hybrid (Canada)Platforms: Instagram & TikTok (primary); occasional support on other platforms.Compensation: Contract position, commensurate with experience and skills — starting at $20/hour.How to ApplyApply directly on LinkedIn with your resume + samples/portfolio (writing and video work preferred).
