Your portfolio should demonstrate your creative range, design craft, and experience shaping brand identities across multiple channels.Summary:The Associate Creative Director (ACD), Design provides visionary leadership across the Cineplex design team. Reporting to the Executive Creative Director, this role is responsible for guiding the development of campaign concepts, brand expression, and high-calibre design across Cineplex, The Rec Room, and Playdium. The ACD mentors a team of designers, partners closely with copywriters (without managing them), and works cross-functionally to drive bold creative that connects with audiences. This role is pivotal in ensuring the consistency, clarity, and quality of creative output across all channels and brand experiences.ResponsibilitiesLead visual development of design systems, our campaign visuals and assets across Cineplex, The Rec Room, and PlaydiumManage and mentor a team of designers including graphic, multimedia and production, ensuring high-quality creative work and career growthCollaborate with copywriters, project managers, and stakeholders to concept and develop integrated campaignsTranslate marketing strategies and briefs into clear, actionable creative directionReview and approve creative work to ensure it meets quality, brand, and strategic standardsLead art direction on photo/video shoots, selecting visual treatments, directing production, and guiding executionChampion design process improvements and creative team workflowsPresent creative ideas confidently to internal stakeholders, aligning teams on vision and direction reviews their work and output, and coaches and mentors them for growth and developmentKey QualificationsPost-secondary education in Design, Visual Communications, or Advertising; Registered Graphic Designer designation is an asset.7+ years of experience in a creative agency or in-house creative team.5+ years leading, mentoring, and inspiring creative teams.Experience overseeing brand systems, art direction, and cross-channel campaignsExtensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and strong design sensibility across digital, print, experiential, and social channels.Strong collaborator with experience partnering with copywriters and content leads.Strategic thinker with a track record of building and elevating brands through compelling visual systems.Confident communicator, capable of presenting creative ideas to both creative and non-creative stakeholders.Skilled in managing multiple priorities and timelines while maintaining creative excellence.Comfortable directing external creative partners (photographers, illustrators, editors) to bring concepts to life.Inclusion & DiversityCineplex, its subsidiaries, and affiliates are equal opportunity employers with a commitment to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
