Title Temp Associate Designer, Women’sWhat You’ll Be Responsible ForSupport Designer in execution of original design ideas and specific design development projects Supports and manages trim, as directed by Designer in partnership with Product DevelopmentWorks closely with Tech Design, Patternmakers and Sample Room to coordinate in-house design development Support with concept and research development for seasonal deliveriesAssists in hand sketching and sketch updates throughout the seasonsPrepare CAD layout options in Illustrator and Photoshop including colorways (stripes, prints, etc)Research inspirational imagery in line with design direction and create presentation boardsAttend fittings and support Designer with preparation of all fit materials and samples, along with thorough notetakingAttend weekly Work In Progress (WIPs) meetingsSet up initial seasonal line sheets for each collection and maintain as changes occur throughout development Prepare seasonal color – once color pallets have been finalized, create smaller pallet boards to share with cross-functional teams Set up design-owned portions of techpacks, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), updating through design process to support production readinessCreate and maintain seasonal development binders, organize seasonal design racks and inspiration sample closetPerform additional duties and assignment as requestedQualifications/Experience We’re Looking ForMust have a 4-year College degree in Fashion Apparel DesignMust have a minimum of two to three (2-3) years of experience in Apparel DesignMust have excellent working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and ExcelMust have excellent hand-sketching skills Must be detail oriented individual and a strong self-starter with the ability to establish effective work relationships across multiple levels and functionsMust be a team player, have the ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines, and take initiativeStrong time management skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet all objectives and allow the various initiatives of the Design department to be accomplished in a timely mannerExcellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in both written and verbal communicationAbility to work under pressure in an environment of constant shifting priorities and changePositive attitude and strong interpersonal skills Vince, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any applicant or employee because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, age, or military or veteran status or any other status protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
