The Assistant Director of Events is responsible to ensure the smooth and efficient of the Events department, covering both the catering sales as well as convention services functions of the hotel.ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of the Events department, ensuring seamless coordination of catering and convention services.Lead and support a team of Event Managers and Coordinators to deliver exceptional service and memorable guest experiences.Collaborate with Sales, Food & Beverage, and Operations teams to execute successful events from planning to completion.Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care.Uphold Hyatt’s standards of service, safety, and operational excellence.QualificationsA university degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management.Minimum 2 years of experience as Director of Catering, Catering Manager, or Convention Services Manager.Good operational, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
