We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.Skills And CompetenciesKnowledge of macroeconomic theory and data, with ability to distil insights from macroeconomic datasets.Experience in macroeconomic analysis and econometric modelling software. Statistical analysis is preferred.Good communication and writing skills with an ability to convey complex economic concepts in clear, non-technical language.Experience and organizational skills to efficiently address multiple priorities in a relatively short time frame.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work directly with clients are a must. Must be a motivated, responsible person who can work well with others, independently of daily supervisionEducation Master’s degree in Economics or related field with at least 1 year of experience -OR- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience. Candidates with less experience may also be considered.ResponsibilitiesAssume responsibility for forecasting and analyzing macroeconomic developments for one or two countries in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Create forecasts for baseline and alternative scenarios.Write reports and economic commentary about the outlook for assigned countries. Cover economic indicators and write blogs.Work independently and with others to write real-time economic analysis about the region.Contribute to original research articles, as well as to regional macroeconomic analysis. Participate in company webinars.Respond to internal and external client questions and participate in client-facing meetings.Leverage AI tools to improve existing processes and enhance the team’s capabilities.About The TeamOur Economics team is responsible for forecasting and analyzing economies around the world. The forecasts are an integral part of broader solutions provided by Moody’s to global banks, financial institutions and other corporates.
