At PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls. In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes the auditor’s opinion.ResponsibilitiesProviding audit and business advice to a variety of clients in different industriesBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with new and established clientsWorking as part of a team, liaising with both client and other specialist staff in the practice to provide high quality client servicesProviding an on-site coordination role for audit clients including the coaching and training of junior staffSupervising teams and reporting directly to senior staffWe focus on using the latest technology to reduce the level of manual testing ensuring you will focus on the most valuable areas of client serviceRequirementsAuditing or accounting experience is preferred but not requiredRelevant university degree (finance, accounting, economics, business administration etc.)German language skillsStrong team working skills, with experience in supervising and developing junior staffResults-oriented approach with keen attention to high quality, details and accuracy, self-motivation, teamwork and desire to exceed expectationsAbility to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levelsDesire to build a long term career within PwCWilling to travelGood computer skillsPrepared to work long hours when neededAll applications will be dealt with in strict confidence.
