Position Overview:We are seeking a Associate Legal Counsel to join our South Korea legal team. This role will support the company’s day-to-day operations by providing legal assistance on contracts, compliance, and general corporate matters under the guidance of senior legal counsel and the headquarters legal team.Work Place: 7, Yeongjung-ro 42-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea 9floorResponsibilities:1.Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to POP MART’s retail business operation, including but not limited to leases, construction agreements, promotion agreements. Organize contract approval matrix and manage the contract archive.2.Corporate Compliance Support: Handle day-to-day corporate governance matters, including administrative filings, shareholder meetings, board meetings, and preparation of related documentation.3.Legal Research & Risk Management: Conduct legal research and manage legal risks in relation to POP MART’s offline and online business; including but not limited to advanced importation and exportation compliance, labeling and marking, advertising compliance, data protection regulations, industry trends, labor laws and customer protection requirements, etc.4.Brand Protection: Support the protection of the company’s intellectual property rights in South Korea, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents, review and negotiate IP licensing and related contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and in the best of company’s interest;.5.Others: 5,1 Liaise with external legal counsel and government agencies to ensure smooth operations and compliance with legal obligations.5.2 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide practical legal solutions.5.3 Assist headquarters(HQ) legal team with legal affairs in relation with auditor’s audition, adjustment of shareholding structure, M&A and other legal matters HQ legal team assigned from time to time.5.4 Participate in legal training sessions to enhance the legal knowledge and skills of internal teams.Qualifications:1.Bachelor's degree or above in Law, LLM or JD is a preference, with eligibility to practice law in South Korea; overseas legal practice qualifications are preferred..2.1–3 years of legal experience, ideally from a law firm or corporate legal department.3.Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to independently complete projects, interpret and apply complex legal provisions.4.Solid understanding of contract law, commercial law, and relevant industry regulations.5.Proficient in legal software and technology tools, as well as Microsoft Office suite.Desired Skills:1.Experience in a transnational corporation, retail industry or sector would be an advantage.2.Native speaker of Korean, and advanced English proficiency is a must; Other foreign language skill is a plus.3.Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.4.Creative thinker with the ability to provide innovative legal solutions to complex problems.5.Positive attitude and results-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to the company's values and mission.
