Since 2016, Alantra’s Maritime & Offshore team has completed transactions with an aggregate deal value above USD 1.7 billion.This role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing team at the forefront of cross-border maritime investment banking.Role OverviewAlantra is seeking to recruit talented professionals at Associate level to join its Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking team in Athens. The successful candidates will support the origination and execution of transactions across debt, equity, and hybrid instruments, working closely with senior bankers and gaining exposure to high-profile international deals in the shipping and offshore sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the execution of capital raising and advisory mandates in the maritime and offshore industries.Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to support valuation, structuring, and transaction analysis.Prepare pitch books, presentations, investment memoranda, and other transaction materials.Conduct industry, company, and transaction research in shipping, oil & gas, transportation, and related sectors.Support due diligence processes, liaising with internal and external advisors.Assist with client meetings, investor presentations, and internal reporting.Support day-to-day deal execution workstreams, interacting with clients, lenders, and investors.Lead sections of due diligence and coordinate with legal, technical, and commercial advisors.Review and refine presentations and materials prepared by Analysts.Mentor junior team members and contribute to their development.Participate actively in business development and deal origination activities.Candidate RequirementsAssociate (3–5+ years’ experience):Solid background in investment banking, shipping finance, or investment management with focus on maritime/offshore, oil & gas, or transport.Proven track record in executing financing or M&A transactions.Advanced modeling, structuring, and valuation capabilities.Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to manage investor and client interactions.Experience mentoring junior team members.Excellent English and Greek (native) communication.What We OfferExposure to high-profile international maritime and offshore transactions.Opportunity to work in a highly specialized sector within a global investment banking platform.A collaborative and entrepreneurial culture, with direct access to senior bankers.Competitive compensation and career development opportunities within a growing team.
