As part of its ambitious growth strategy, Northleaf is also developing specific private markets products and investment solutions for insurance and wealth management clients.POSITION: Senior Analyst/Associate, Private Equity – Investor Relations, TorontoReporting to the Managing Director responsible for private equity investor relations, the successful candidate will work closely with members of the Investor Relations, Investment, Sales and Portfolio Strategy & Analytics teams. This role will address a combination of investor facing, market research and communications activities as well as analyses that support investor communications and improve investor outcomes. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team and gain direct insight into the workings of a global private markets investment firm with a specific focus on Northleaf’s private equity program.The successful candidate will possess 2-4 years of relevant industry experience, ideally in a professional services, investment banking, transaction execution or investor relations role. This role will be responsible for assisting the Private Equity team across a range of activities, including:Fundraising: develop and maintain content for fundraising activities such as marketing materials, due diligence questionnaires, investment case studies, RFP responses and online data roomsInvestor communications: develop content for and support investor communication activities such as in-person/virtual updates, quarterly reports, annual investor conference and semi-annual conference callsMarket trends/research: develop market/competitor mapping, research market trends/data, and support fund performance benchmarkingData and market analytics: analyze and track market level and fund-level data to support portfolio analysis and development of investor facing materialsInvestor servicing: respond to investors’ information needs, requirements and inquiriesProduct development: assist with the development of new product initiatives and extensionsQualificationsExcellent academic credentials, a university degree is preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate and present points of view and ideas effectively (with fluency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel)Strong analytical and quantitative skillsSelf-motivated and self-directed, with a high degree of intellectual curiosity; demonstrated ability to be proactiveInterest in financial markets, private markets investments, the institutional investment industryFlexible team player with a history of collaborating with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholdersProven ability to successfully multi-task and prioritize, with strong attention to detailStrong addition to Northleaf’s values of respect integrity, collaboration and professionalismLocationToronto, OntarioWhat Sets Us ApartAt Northleaf Capital Partners, you’ll be joining a leading global private markets investment firm with a differentiated platform across mid-market private equity, private credit, and infrastructure.
