Drive global private equity co-investment and fund investment analysis through strong commercial acumen, deep-dive financial modelling, market assessments, and due diligence.Work alongside top quartile private equity managers in MLC’s strong performing private equity program, investing globally on behalf of superannuation, institutional, wholesale and retail clients.Join a high-performing team with offices in Sydney and New York in a permanent, full-time role based in Sydney.The opportunity to join our teamAs an Associate at MLC Asset Management, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality investment insights and analysis for global private equity and venture capital opportunities. You will conduct rigorous commercial assessments and financial and market research, prepare detailed investment materials and support the end-to-end deal process. Working closely with senior professionals, you will help ensure our clients have access to tailored exposure to PE & VC markets. This is a chance to contribute to a dynamic, high-performing team managing over $6 billion in global assets.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform quantitative and qualitative research and financial modelling/analysis on private equity investment opportunities across stages, industries and geographiesInterpret financial analyses prepared by target PE & VC funds, including investment track records; prepare valuation analyses on private companiesConduct market research using publicly available information and proprietary databases to identify and assess investment opportunitiesWork with PE & VC fund managers, company management teams, investment bankers and internal stakeholders to perform due diligencePrepare and present due diligence materials and investment committee memosConstruct well-founded opinions on investment opportunities and communicate them effectively in team settings, including investment committee meetingSupport negotiation, coordination and structuring of deals, as well as post-close monitoring of investmentsAssist with investor reporting, marketing and fundraising efforts in collaboration with senior professionalsEnsure compliance with all relevant regulatory, risk and internal governance requirementsWhat You Will BringProven experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, M&A, corporate development, consulting, or equity researchProficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skillsStrong quantitative, analytical and valuation expertise for evaluating PE & VC investment opportunitiesDemonstrated commercial awareness and sound investment judgmentSelf-starter with the ability to think creatively, problem-solve and conduct independent researchExcellent communication and presentation skillsProven ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality work under time pressurePositive, team-oriented attitude with a desire to work across diverse projectsTo ApplyRead more about why you should join our team https://www.insigniafinancial.com.au/careers/working-with-us/why-join-our-team.Applicants will be required to provide evidence of their eligibility to work in Australia, and at a minimum be required to undertake police and basic credit checks as a condition of employment.Please note that applications from agencies will not be considered at this time.We acknowledge and celebrate the richness that individual differences bring to our team.
