University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC) is looking for Associate Professor, Department of English, Dept of English Language and Linguistics, FSSHJob Description / ResponsibilityApplications are invited for the post of Associate Professor in the Department of English, Dept of English Language and Linguistics, FSSH on prevailing terms and conditions of USTC.Job ResponsibilitiesTeaching Undergraduate and Graduate courses as per USTC rules;Undertaking research, organise workshops in the Faculty and develop national/ international inter-university collaboration. Maintaining documentation as per requirement of UGC, BAC etc;Preparing course outline, lesson plan, lecture materials, tutorial and schedule for students and conduct theoretical, tutorial and lab classes, extension teaching, related research and cooperative field experience;Conducting Examinations and related tasks;Guiding and supervising project work, internship, dissertation or thesis;Guiding and supervising students to perform co-curricular and extracurricular activities.Carrying out administrative tasks assigned by the Authority time to time.Ensuring academic discipline and standards as well as report on other matters including the student affairs of USTC and perform responsibilities as per the Private University Act of 2010;Conducting research and experiments to advance knowledge in the concerned fields with publications.Educational RequirementsPhD (Doctor of Philosophy)PhD in respective discipline with minimum two first class division/class and having 5 (Five) publications in which 3 (three) as Assistant Professor in recognized journals as per UGC guidelinesAt least 7 (Seven) years university-level teaching and research experience in which 3 years as Assistant Professor as per UGC rules (for PhD holder)Experience RequirementsAt least 7 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): UniversityJob LocationChattogram
