Job Description
PURPOSE/GENERAL SUMMARY:The AVP of QA will ensure all production/shipment meets the quality standards of customers through an effective quality monitoring and control program inclusive of in-line & final inspection.PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Leadership responsibilities for the full range of quality management related activities including: in-line & final inspection, pre-production meetings, pilot sample review, FCA training, SOP, factory evaluations, CAP and other vendor development initiatives.Partners with global/regional QA/Technical leaders to develop and lead quality management initiatives in the region.Develops strategies and provide direction to the QA function to ensure no RTV through effective risk management.Develops process to identify high risk factories and recommend solutions to enhance their service standard.Develops plans, metrics and tools to monitor effectiveness of initiatives and performance of the QA function to identify gaps and opportunities; Facilitates best practice and information sharing across the organization and businesses.Drives to continuously enhance the leadership bench-strength of the country QA leaders and facilitate the best practice sharing within the region. Facilitates resources deployment within the region to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.Partners with the technical services teams to enhance technical capability in the region.Supports the sourcing strategy including factory / regional scouting and new vendor ramp up.REQUIREMENTS:A minimum of 15 years of apparel production/technical quality management experience, at least 5 years in regional leadership positionGood understanding of garment construction, fabrication, and production processStrategic mind-set and able to lead changesAble to build effective relationship with senior executivesExcellent communications and influencing skillsAble to work in a fast paced, fully matrix global organization
