Are you a strategic and hands-on Inventory & Logistics professional looking to make a real impact in a dynamic, purpose-driven organisation? We’re seeking an experienced Inventory & Logistics Team Leader to join our high-performing team at AsureQuality’s Lynfield Laboratory – the largest food testing site of its kind in Australasia. With over 450 staff and a major site redevelopment underway, this is a rare opportunity to lead logistics for a site that never stops – operating 365 days a year to uphold Aotearoa’s world-class food standards.
The OpportunityReporting to the Site Operations Manager and managing a team of five, you'll take full ownership of inventory and logistics operations – ensuring our laboratories are fully equipped at all times. You’ll also have plenty of scope to drive improvement projects and streamline processes to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee purchasing of laboratory reagents and consumablesManage stocktakes, reconciliations, replenishment, and reportingMaintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supplyLead process reviews and drive workflow optimisation initiativesEnsure safe storage and disposal of chemicals in line with HSNO regulationsManage inventory levels, including obsolete stock controlOversee dispatch of consumables to labs and customers within agreed SLAsCoordinate timely collection of customer samplesLead performance reviews of logistics service providers and track KPIsCoach, develop and support your teamTake part in project work and continuous improvement initiativesAbout You5+ years’ experience in procurement, inventory or logistics managementBackground in laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing, or similar operational environmentProven experience managing teams and supplier relationshipsSolid understanding of supply chain principlesExcellent communicator – both written and verbalStrong analytical and reporting skillsProcess improvement mindset with knowledge of Lean methodologiesProficient with relevant systems and toolsApply now to bring your logistics leadership to an organisation where what you do truly matters.
