Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking Technicians to join our Microbiology team based at our Lynfield Auckland laboratory for 4-6 months on fixed term contracts for our busy Dairy Season.

We will be starting successful candidates from August through to October. These roles are to assist in sample preparation and pre-work as well as Media Preparation. You will gain invaluable experience for your technical career in a commercial Food Testing laboratory. We will need you to be available for 40 hours per week, working at least 1 weekend day.

Your Key Duties Will InvolveCompleting sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT)Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance proceduresEnsuring all relevant records are always kept up to dateMaintaining a clean and tidy work areaFlexibility to work additional days or overtime would be ideal as our laboratory operates 7 days a week. About YouBe studying or have attained a BSc, with a focus on Microbiology or Food Science. Previous work experience in a fast paced environment will also be beneficial to your success in getting this role.
