Job Description

Job Title: General Labourer Company Background:  Athena Cultivation is a rapidly growing licensed producer of cannabis located in London, Ontario, specializing in organic cultivation and bulk B2B distribution of cannabis globally. Athena also provides ancillary cannabis services including trimming and milling, organoleptic testing, equipment sales, and cannabis licensing consulting.  Job Summary:  The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the well-being of Athena’s cannabis plants and assist with daily-functioning of facility operations and cultivation tasks according to direction from the CEO and Site Manager.

The candidate will have direct assistance and training from the CEO, master grower, and executive members. Exposure to farming, horticulture, cannabis, plant biology, or related subjects is helpful but not required.  The types of equipment that the candidate may work with include, but are not limited to:  pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, water meters, fertilizer handling and mixing equipment.  Equipment used for planting and harvesting cannabis.  Equipment used to support cannabis growth.  Equipment for microbial, soil and other sample collection and processing.  Equipment for lifting, moving, and wrapping pallets.  Weigh scales and packaging equipment.

 Job Responsibilities Ensure all plants are watered properly on a daily basis.  Mix fertilizer then distribute the correct amount of each mix to the crop on schedule using guidance from the master grower and CEO.  Perform landscaping and facility maintenance such as weed whacking, trimming of plants, gathering trash, picking rocks, repairing irrigation lines, mowing grass, replacing zip ties, cleaning cameras etc.  Execute harvesting and post-harvest activities (i. e. , weighing, freezing, trimming, milling, drying, sample collection, and transporting cannabis) as directed under supervision.  Clean the facility and necessary equipment according to Athena’s sanitization program.

 Assist with general facility operations by assisting with various ad-hoc farm-related tasks as directed by management and being present for stakeholders requiring access to the facility.  Hand trim or machine trim product to prep it for the next stage.  Conduct quality control procedures.  Transferring plants to appropriate locations.  Record and maintain weights of product and waste.  Maintain a clean and organized workstation.  Clean and sanitize all work areas.  Job Requirements:  At least 19 years of age.  Completed high school at minimum.  Driver’s license and own vehicle or mode of transportation as we are not on a bus route.

 Able to work full-time or overtime as requested.  Flexible in changing working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.  Ability to work outside in both summer and winter months.  Comfortable working on a farm and commuting to a farm in London, Ontario.  Ability to work independently.  Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 20 kilograms.  Extended periods of stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, and standing.  Working in an environment subject to frequent temperature changes.  Strong communication and organization skills with the ability to multitask.  Comfortable with basic mathematical skills.  Compensation and Benefits:  Start Date: July 2025 – Ongoing Hours:

Part time- 24hrs per week, 8 hours a day on 3 days per week.  Additional hours may be required with advanced notice each week.  Wage: $17. 50 CAD per hour.
