Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.Department InformationDepartment Specific Tasks And Responsibilities Serves as the primary contact for assigned sports programs Records statistics for select games Maintains social media department goals and strategies to maximize exposure and increase following Produces online team record books, game notes and news releases Writes and disseminates news and feature stories on KSU athletic programs, events, student athletes and coaches Generates feature content, video, podcasts and other unique coverage for KSUOwls.com, the official website of Kennesaw Athletics Responds to media requests timely and accurately Maintains website content for assigned athletic department units Works with appropriate staff members and coaches to nominate student-athletes for academic and athletic honors, scholarships and awardsDEPARTMENT SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*: Familiar with Statcrew and ability to keep statistics at athletics events Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external constituents Ability to assume responsibility and work as a member of a team Demonstrated ability to organize and establish priorities Skill in writing proficiently on journalistic deadlines Familiar with web site creation and update using SidearmJob SummaryProvides support to leadership, coaches, staff and students within the Athletics Department.ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides a wide variety of administrative and clerical duties related to athletics Provides support to assigned unit, staff, coaching staff, student-athletes or external partners May assist with set up and break down of on and off-campus events and promotionsRequired QualificationsEducational RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentOther Required QualificationsMay required a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license; please refer to the specific job description addendumRequired ExperienceOne (1) year of related experiencePreferred QualificationsPreferred Educational QualificationsAn undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related fieldPreferred ExperiencePrevious experience in higher education or athletics administrative supportAbilitiesKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesComplies with all NCAA, conference, State of Georgia and university policies, rules, and regulationsAble to handle multiple tasks or projects at one-time meeting assigned deadlinesSkillsExcellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skillsProficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)Strong attention to detail and follow up skillsStrong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquetteUSG Core ValuesThe University System of Georgia is comprised of our 26 institutions of higher education and learning as well as the System Office.
