With nine data centers in key Nordic locations and additional sites on the horizon, we are expanding to meet the increasing demand for our services. About the Role: As a Commercial Manager at atNorth you will be situated at the office in Espoo and be responsible for ensuring financial efficiency, cost control, and contractual compliance across our development projects. You will work closely with procurement, project management, and construction teams to oversee budget preparation, contract negotiations, claims management, and cost optimization. Your role will be crucial in maximizing project profitability while ensuring financial discipline and risk mitigation.
In addition to overseeing financial operations, you will play a key role in managing contract variations and ensuring that payment applications comply with agreed terms. By closely monitoring project costs and supplier agreements, you will proactively identify risks and implement strategies to enhance commercial performance. You will lead commercial discussions and provide financial oversight for atNorth’s rapidly growing data center infrastructure projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape commercial processes in a high-growth, international environment while working on innovative and sustainable development projects. About You:
To be successful in this role, we believe you have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, business, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in commercial management, preferably within construction, infrastructure, or data centers. You have strong skills in budget preparation, cost control, procurement, and contract negotiation, with experience managing claims, variations, and payment applications. As a person, you are analytical, meticulous, and independent in your way of working. You take initiative and drive your work forward while possessing excellent communication and negotiation skills.
You are comfortable working closely with construction teams, suppliers, project managers, and procurement specialists, and you have a proactive and diplomatic approach when navigating different stakeholders. You thrive in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, where circumstances can change quickly, and you are resilient under pressure. You enjoy working with both high-level financial strategies and hands-on project execution, making an impact on the company’s growth and operational excellence.
