They focus on building long-term, relationship-based partnerships with their clients, delivering proactive and tailored financial guidance, not just reactive number-crunching.Their setup is lean, cloud-based, and fully remote. They value reliability, consistency, and collaboration – and they’re looking for someone who shares those values.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, including bank and credit card reconciliations;Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general journal entries;Manage payroll and superannuation for Australian clients;Prepare and file activity statements (BAS/IAS);Collaborate with the team to support month-end processes and ensure timely delivery of reports;Manage receipt processing and documentation;Flag issues early, provide suggested resolutions, and communicate openly with the team;Support onboarding of new clients and contribute to improving SOPs and workflows.QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field3–5 years of AU bookkeeping experience in AU based firm, managing multiple clientsProven experience managing Australian payroll, superannuation, and BAS/IAS;Strong proficiency with Xero (required); exposure to Karbon is highly preferredHigh attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to meet deadlines consistently;Excellent verbal and written communication skills.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection (at least 50–100 Mbps) and a quiet, dedicated home officePersonal equipment meeting these minimum specs:2 monitors, Windows 11/macOS 11/Thin ClientIntel i5 Quad-core 2.5GHz+, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD+Willing to have client-installed security tools on personal equipment if requiredComfortable working independently and managing time effectively with minimal supervisionDESCRIPTION OF IDEAL CANDIDATEReliable & Responsible – You don’t just get the job done - you get it done right, and on time.Clear Communicator – You’re confident in written and verbal communication, and comfortable working with Australian-based teams.Process-Oriented & Detail-Driven – You like systems, structure, and spotting the small things that others miss.Proactive & Self-Directed – You take initiative, solve problems, and don’t wait to be told what to do.Flexible & Tech-Savvy – You’re open to learning new systems and jumping into new tools as needed.Collaborative & Supportive – You’re a team player who’s always ready to lend a hand or share an insight.Professional & Personable – You bring a calm, friendly presence to your virtual workspace and believe great work can also be enjoyable.If you’re looking for a long-term role where you can make a real impact, contribute meaningfully, and grow with a client who values quality and care – this might just be the perfect fit for you!
