Fixed Term - 2 years, 0. 5 FTE until Dec 2025 increasing to 0. 7 FTE from Jan 2026AUT Millennium - Mairangi Bay, AucklandThe Toi o te Ora - AUT Wellbeing Research Network is seeking a well-organised and proactive Network Research Coordinator to support the smooth delivery and growth of collaborative research initiatives. This is a pivotal coordination role that blends operational planning, project management, and research support helping to strengthen AUT's research performance in wellbeing, health, and social impact.

A core priority of the Network is to drive the growth of externally funded research by actively pursuing competitive funding opportunities, from government agencies, philanthropic organisations, industry partners, and international funding bodies, to enable large-scale, transformative projects. The position will enhance the Network's capacity to pursue and secure these competitive funding opportunities and maintain continuity of resources to support ongoing and future research programmes. About The RoleThis operational support role contributes to the success of a dynamic research network with key responsibilities to: Provide coordination and administrative support for research projects, events, and stakeholder engagement.

Assist with the preparation and submission of research proposals and related documentation. Support post-award administration, including tracking deliverables and maintaining reporting systems. Manage project budgets, assisting with financial monitoring, and planning. Contribute to the identification and pursuit of new collaboration and funding opportunities. Support the Network's communications, knowledge-sharing, and internal systems. Uphold te Tiriti o Waitangi principles across all aspects of engagement and research support. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Network's activities, systems, and relationships, especially those tied to securing and managing external funding.

The Network Coordinator will also be expected to step up and support the Network Research Manager role to maintain continuity during senior staff absences. About YouYou are a highly organised and adaptable research professional with a strong eye for detail and a collaborative approach. You bring: Proven experience supporting high-level, wellbeing related research projects, ideally within a university or public sector environment. An extensive understanding of research processes, systems, and documentation requirements. Financial literacy and experience, having familiarity of financial policy and processes, understanding budget reports, monitoring and revising budget expenditure and financial compliance.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence managing multiple relationships and stakeholder needs. The ability to work independently, and flexibly as needed to meet critical deadlines and ensure priority tasks are completed.
