You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with professional standards, maintaining quality across all engagements, and driving client satisfaction.Minimum requirements:CA(SA) qualification and SAICA registration.Minimum 2–4 years post-articles audit experienceStrong knowledge of IFRS for SME’s, Companies Act, and audit methodologyExperience with CaseWare Working PapersAbility to work independentlyStrategic thinker with strong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesDuties And ResponsibilitiesManage a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing both tax and audit aspects, providing exceptional service and maintaining strong client relationships.Skillfully allocate resources and plan staff assignments for optimal engagement outcomes.Take charge of all phases of audit engagements, from meticulous planning to efficient execution and reporting. You will collaborate with the Audit Partner to communicate findings effectively.Oversee and ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance across all audit and assurance engagements.Produce meticulous and high-quality documents, reports, and engagement files that meet the firm's standards.Skillfully prepare annual financial statements in alignment with IFRS for SMEs, demonstrating your expertise in financial reporting.Provide daily supervision, guidance, and leadership to audit staff and teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Develop, coach, and mentor junior audit staff, offering guidance and support while conducting performance reviews.Liaise with clients, maintaining clear communication and delivering outstanding service, thus enhancing the firm's reputation.Prepare and monitor audit budgets, ensuring engagements are carried out efficiently and within financial constraints.Assess trainees using the SAICA EAT system, contributing to their growth and development.Review trainee timesheets and overtime, demonstrating your attention to detail.Contribute to the smooth functioning of the firm by taking on additional responsibilities as needed.CompetenciesAble to work and cope under pressuresResults driven and able to achieve work goals and objectivesAble to demonstrate and exercise sound judgment skillsPlanning and organisational skillsQuality and detail orientationPro-active and solutions drivenTeam leadership and strong teamwork skillsAbility to mentor and develop talentTechnical skills required: Proficiency in Caseware Working Papers and Microsoft Excel is essential
