Audubon is currently seeking a Project Manager. The Project Manager is accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Reports to the Senior Project Manager. The successful Project Manager will provide direction and management support to project teams during the execution of projects. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Familiarity with natural resources permitting at the federal and state levelFamiliarity with surveys required to successfully complete project permittingCreates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client. Effectively applies Audubon methodology and enforces project standards. Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures. Minimizes our exposure and risk on project. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Manages the project budget. Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for projects. Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices. Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, efficiency and utilization.
Remains completely accessible to client during life of project and provides single point of contact, ensuring specific requests are process timely and appropriately. Drives Management of Change philosophy and enforces corresponding procedures. Participates as a contributing member of assigned Business Unit. Attend industry events and functionsAssist Sr. PM and Business Development Team in revenue growthAbility to work in a seller-doer roleConsistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions. Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential. Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.
Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members. Mitigates team conflict and communication problems. Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions. Leads and/or acts as a member of internal teams/task forces. EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree AND 7+ years of experience. Preferred: Wetland certificate. Experience Required: Minimum of 7 years of industry related experience as a senior scientist or similar role. Experience Preferred: 5 years of Project Management experience. Organizes and develops highly functional and effective project teams.
Works to instill a sense of project ownership and accountability in the project team. Coordinates and works with other departments (Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Finance and Accounting) to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services which meet or exceed our customer’s expectations. Provides active coaching and mentoring to junior staff. Takes an ACTIVE role in developing their skills and progressing them professionally.
