Job DescriptionAustal USA is seeking a results-driven Continuous Improvement Leader to oversee cross-functional initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, quality, and performance across the organization. Leading a team of Data Analysts and Process Engineers, this role applies Lean, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management methodologies to drive measurable improvements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will bring strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and change management skills—along with a proven track record in CI projects and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or the ability to obtain one). REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager, Productivity ImprovementSUPERVISES:

Data Analyst, Process EngineerAuthorities / ResponsibilitiesLeadership and FacilitationOrganize and lead a cross functional team of Continuous Improvements leads to achieve specific (CI) initiativesLead and facilitate CI projects, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, reduce variability, and improve process efficiencyCoordinate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverablesMentor and coach team members on CI tools, techniques, and best practicesProject ManagementPlan, execute, and monitor CI projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budgetConduct value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and other CI tools to drive process improvementsDevelop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and improvement frameworks to ensure consistency and reliabilityData Analysis and ReportingCollect, process, and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvementDevelop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor the progress of CI initiativesPrepare and present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholdersTraining and DevelopmentProvide training and coaching to CI Leads on methodologies, tools, and best practicesFoster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging employees at all levels and encouraging their participation in CI activitiesStay updated on industry trends and advancements in CI methodologiesPerformance MeasurementDevelop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of CI initiatives, Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of CI initiatives, making adjustments as neededIdentify and share best practices across the organization to drive continuous improvementQualifications / Knowledge / ExperienceBachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5 years’ experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, or a related roleLean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required or ability to obtain within six monthsProven experience leading and managing CI projects and teamsStrong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and process improvement toolsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insightsStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levelsExperience in the maritime or manufacturing industry is preferred, maritime leadership experience highly preferredExperience with Total Quality Management (TQM) principles preferredKnowledge of project management methodologies and tools preferredProficiency in data analysis software and tools (e.
