Due to the nature of our operations, and that we are committed to investing in our teams' long term development, most employees are engaged with us on a permanent, full-time basis. However, from time to time we do have positions that are well suited and available to those holding a working holiday or other temporary visa. Australian Country Choice have 16 operations across Queensland that includes cattle breeding, cattle backgrounding, feedlotting and farming. Some locations are more remote than others and include Mt Isa, Central Qld, Darling Downs, Roma district, Charleville and Augathella regions.
The types of roles that could become available from time to time include: Maintenance Hands Station CooksStation Hands / Livestock hands (you must be a highly competent horse rider)Feedlot Maintenance or Mill HandsFarm hands Single accommodation is available at most locations and meals provided. Please note, unfortunately most of our workplaces can't accommodate pets. It is a condition of employment with ACC that all new employees are vaccinated for Q-fever, we are happy to assist and facilitate appointments as necessary.
