Job Summary:This role focuses on designing, implementing, and testing automation changes in the Emerson DeltaV plant-wide control system. The engineer will support upstream and downstream biological process improvements, tech transfer activities, and ensure robust documentation of all automation changes.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement DeltaV automation changes across biotech manufacturing systems.Support process optimization and tech transfer for upstream (e.g., cell culture, fermentation) and downstream (e.g., purification) operations.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated systems.Write and maintain documentation including functional design specifications, configuration records, and change logs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineering, validation, and manufacturing.Mandatory Skills:Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS).Strong understanding of biotech manufacturing processes, especially upstream and downstream operations.Proficiency in writing automation documentation and managing change control records.Ability to troubleshoot and support complex automated systems.Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), validation protocols, and compliance standards.Educational Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.Certifications in automation or DeltaV systems are a plus.Preferred Attributes:Excellent communication and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and on-site with cross-functional teams.Experience in tech transfer or process scale-up projects.Strong understanding of change control and compliance in regulated environments.
