Automation Test Lead - Drive Shift-Left Quality & CI/CD - AucklandJoin a large, complex enterprise organisation and take full ownership of the automation testing process within the ICT Service Transition team. We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Lead to drive their shift-left quality strategy, aligning testing with modern DevOps and CI/CD practices. This role is key to delivering high-quality, reliable, and performant solutions across critical business applications.Key Responsibilities & FocusThe successful candidate will lead the organisation and control of the automation testing process, ensuring alignment with the internal Test Framework. This is a hands-on role that requires both strategic vision and technical expertise in execution and tool selection.Lead the technical design and coordinate the Automation of test cases (coding, updating, executing, and scheduling).Analyze functional scripts to define the automation scope and own the creation of automated scripts for regression testing.Work closely with development and functional teams to confirm the testing approach and ensure solution quality, reliability, and performance.Propose new tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency and support the overall test strategy.What you’ll bringRequires 5+ years of experience in Agile/SAFe environments with strong automation leadership.Experience in Agile/SAFe testing environments.Hands-on in test automation using Playwright, Cypress, or similar.Proven experience with API and integration testing tools like Postman, SOAPUI, or RestSharp.Strong performance testing skills using LoadRunner or JMeter.Solid CI/CD pipeline experience – ideally Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.Programming/scripting experience in .NET (C#), JavaScript or equivalent.Deep understanding of DevOps and shift-left quality practices.Knowledge of cloud platforms (Salesforce, SAP, Workday, Snowflake).Bonus SkillsExperience in database/ETL testing (SQL).Familiarity with accessibility testing (WCAG, Axe, WAVE).Knowledge of security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP.Location & EngagementLocation: Auckland Central.Engagement: Permanent Apply NowIf you are a talented Automation Test Lead ready to drive the future of quality engineering, apply now or contact Amaan for more details, call on 0220607986 or Email at amaan.kazmi@randstaddigital.co.nz.At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
